DISK DRIVE CONTROLLED ACCORDING TO HEAD DISK INTERFERENCE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING THE DISK DRIVE

PURPOSE: A disk drive and a control method thereof controlling a head disc interference are provided to use various parameters to exactly determined whether head disc interference is generated or not. CONSTITUTION: Frequency and the size of a positional error signal generated during performing a recording operation is determined(S320,S340). The determined frequency and reference frequency are compared(S350). The determined size and the reference size are compared. By using comparison result, generation of the head disc interference is determined(S360).
