摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of photoelectric conversion with a relatively simple configuration in a photoelectric conversion device, such as a solar cell. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric conversion device includes: a pair of first electrode (110) and second electrode (120); a light absorption layer (200) that is provided between the first and second electrodes, includes a plurality of semiconductors or insulators (210, 220), and absorbs light; and an energy selective contact section (160) that is provided between the light absorption layer and the first electrode, is at a specific energy level for transmitting carriers excited by absorption of light by the light absorption layer from the light absorption layer to the first electrode side and is at the same energy level as that at a low end in a conduction band of at least one semiconductor or insulator (210) from among a plurality of semiconductors or insulators, and allows an energy selective contact level (ESCL) to be formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
