<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely orient a solar cell panel toward the sun that is carried on board a ship. <P>SOLUTION: A prop 4 is set up on a deck 2 of a ship 1, a solar cell panel 10 is installed on the prop 4 so that an azimuth angle and an elevation angle can be changed, and an orientation drive unit 6 and an elevation angle drive unit 12 can drive the solar cell panel 10 so that the azimuth angle and the elevation angle of the solar cell panel 10 are changed. Based on signals for a satellite navigation system transmitted from a satellite to the satellite navigation system, latitude and longitude calculation sections 14 and 16 calculate the latitudes and the longitude of the ship 1. The azimuth orientation of the ship 1 is calculated by an orientation calculation section 18. Based on the calculated latitude and longitude, the calculated azimuth orientation of the ship, and a date, the operation part 32 calculates the position of the sun, and supplies the orientation drive unit 6 and the elevation angle drive unit 12 with drive commands so that the solar cell panel 10 may turn to the sun. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
