<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter increasing an initial collection efficiency, and more suppressing the increase of pressure loss. <P>SOLUTION: The ceramic filter is composed of the one having many crystal lumps obtained by gathering columnar crystals, and in which the many crystal lumps are joined each other.
