PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerator maintaining freshness of vegetable and fruit for a long time. SOLUTION: The refrigerator includes: a vegetable case 31 arranged within a vegetable compartment 4 and having an opening 31a in the back wall upper part; a fruit case 32 covering the upper face of the vegetable case 31; and an ion delivery unit 40 mainly delivering positive ions comprising H<SP>+</SP>(H<SB>2</SB>O)m and negative ions comprising O<SB>2</SB><SP>-</SP>(H<SB>2</SB>O)n (m and n are natural numbers) to the inside of the fruit case 32. The ion delivery unit 40 is arranged before an inflow port 4b for making cold air flow in to the vegetable compartment 4, to guide cold air from the inflow port 4b to a lower side from the ion delivery unit 40, and a rib 32c covering a gap between the opening 31a and the fruit case 32 is protruded downwardly from the back wall of the fruit case 32.
