<p>A base station comprises: a MIMO precoding unit (32) for MIMO precoding a transport data addressed to a mobile station, thereby converting the transport data to two data streams corresponding to the respective ones of two reception antennas that the mobile station has; a weight calculating unit for calculating transmission weights to be used for forming directivity patterns directed to the respective ones of the two reception antennas; and a weighting/combining unit (34) for weighting the two data streams with the respective transmission weights calculated for the reception antennas of the mobile station corresponding to the data streams and for combining the two weighted data streams for each of a plurality of antennas (20), thereby generating two combined data streams to be supplied to the respective antennas (20-1, 20-2).
