PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same are provided to implement MIP mode by configuring the MIP mode with the small number of components. CONSTITUTION: In a liquid crystal display device and a method of driving the same, first and second data lines are crossed with a gate line. A first pixel comprises a switching transistor. A liquid crystal cell(LC) comprises a pixel electrode and a common electrode. An inverter(INV) comprises first and second power input terminals. A selection switch(SSW) selectively interlinks the output terminal interval of the inverter to the pixel electrode. A low voltage driver circuit(500) applies first and second voltages to the first and second data line. A data driving circuit(320) outputs data to the first and second data lines. A gate driving circuit outputs the gate voltage to a gate wiring.
