PURPOSE: A compound for material labeling and a method for preparing the same are provided to ensure high stability and to enable long-term storage. CONSTITUTION: A compound for material labeling has a structure of chemical formula 1c. The material is a biomolecule, nanoparticle, or organic compound containing amine group, hydroxyl group, or thiol group. The biomolecule is a protein, peptide, carbohydrate, saccharide, lipid, antibody, proteoglycan, glycoprotein, or siRNA. A method for labeling the material comprises a step of reacting a compound for material labeling and test material at pH 5-12 and 20-80°C for 30-40 minutes. The buffer solution is phosphate buffer, carbonate buffer, Tris buffer, dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethyl formamide, acetonitrile, or water.
