PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering wheel wrapped with leather suppressing generation of a gap at a boundary part between the leather and a decorative member caused by contraction of the leather due to secular deterioration and generation of local deformation (round sagging) in the vicinity of a bent part of the leather, while making accuracy of core metal and metal die have the same degree as conventional accuracy, and suppressing unnatural feeling of the sense of touch in the leather. SOLUTION: In the core metal 60 of this steering wheel wrapped with leather, a projection part 62 is formed at a portion covered with a leather member 40, a recessed part is formed at a portion to be the vicinity of the projection part 62 in a coating part, a locking part 41 in the leather member 40 and a thin plate-shaped hard member 100 are inserted in the recessed part, a soft member 54 forming at least a part of the coating part is interposed between the projection part 62 and the leather member 40, and the hard member 100 is interposed between the soft member 54 and the locking part 41.
