FLAT LAMINATE-TYPE CONDUCTIVE POLYMER ACTUATOR

Disclosed is an actuator wherein: a first conductive polymer film (2a), a planar first porous member (3a), a second conductive polymer film (2b) and a planar second porous member (3b) are laminated together; the tips at either end of adjacent members are connected, forming a zigzag shape; and the first and second porous members also serve as an electrolyte holding layer when an ionic liquid is injected therein. The actuator is capable of always maintaining tension during operation both when expanded and contracted, and has rigidity and imparts driving force in both the contraction and extension directions.
