<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method capable of manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly for a fuel cell, by forming a reinforcement membrane in parallel crosses on at least both of anode and cathode sides of an electrolyte membrane using a manufacturing apparatus with a simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: The method includes the steps of: conveying a sheet electrolyte membrane 1a in a certain direction: X1 on a conveying path of a conveying apparatus H and simultaneously providing two reinforcement membranes 7A in the certain direction: X1 on one side of the electrolyte membrane 1a to attach the reinforcement membranes 7A to the one side to manufacture an intermediate material 20; attaching two reinforcement membranes 7B to one side of another electrolyte membrane 1b in a similar manner to manufacture an intermediate material 30; cutting the electrolyte membranes 1a and 1b at midpoints to manufacture intermediate materials 20A and 30A; and making the intermediate materials 20A and 30A abut with their sides having no reinforcement membranes each other so that the reinforcement membranes 7A and 7B form double crosses to press them to manufacture the membrane electrode assembly 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
