<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that when a plurality of droplets are joined to each other to form the required size of droplet, a drive waveform length becomes long when a drive waveform comprising drive pulses used exclusively for each droplet is generated. <P>SOLUTION: A middle droplet selects continuous drive pulses P5 and P6, to produce a discharge pulse and a large droplet selects continuous drive pulses P2 to P6, to produce the discharge pulse. When the middle droplet is discharged by using the drive pulse P5 of the continuous drive pluses P4 and P5, the discharge pulse is produced by using all of the waveform components of the drive pulse P5 and when the large droplet is discharged by using the continuous drive pulses P4 and P5, such a discharge pulse that the drive pulses P4 and P5 different in shape are obtained without using a part (contraction waveform component c2 in the second stage) of the drive pulse P4 and a part (expansion waveform component a1 in the first stage) of the drive pulse P5 is produced, so that the shape of the discharge pulse produced from the drive pulse redundantly used according to the size is made different. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
