<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid dispensing device and a liquid dispensation method capable of determining an accurate droplet volume regardless of a physical property of liquid. <P>SOLUTION: This liquid dispensing device 10 dispenses a liquid sample of a volume set beforehand onto a sample plate by controlling driving of a dispensing element 20 for discharging droplets. The liquid dispensing device 10 executes a dispensation work for determination prior to a dispensation work for analysis. In the dispensation work for determination, droplets are discharged into a well provided in a quantitative dispensation domain on a table 12 following a driving parameter set beforehand, and the number of droplets filling a liquid storage part for determination in the well is measured. The volume inside the liquid storage part for determination is known, and a droplet volume per drop is calculated from the known volume and the number of droplets. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
