The heat exchanger (10) is connected with an electrical energy source and is operated as inductive heating. The heat exchanger is formed area by area from an electrical conductive material. The area is electromechanically coupled with a coil (16) of the heat exchanger for forming the inductive heating. The coil is admittable with electric current. The area formed from electrically conductive material is a housing part. An independent claim is also included for an arrangement with a heat exchanger and an electric machine as an energy source.
