PURPOSE: A carbonization monitoring device for transformer oil is provided to monitor the degradation of transformer oil at low cost by being installed on the underside of a transformer or a drain valve. CONSTITUTION: A carbonization monitoring device for transformer oil comprises a sensor unit(300), a signal processing unit(360), a display unit(380), and a sensor holder(390). The sensor unit measures the absorbance of transformer oil. The signal processing unit receives the measured absorbance and determines the degradation of the transformer oil. The signal processing unit outputs a signal when the degradation of the transformer oil is higher than a certain level. The display unit receives and displays the signal from the signal processing unit. The sensor holder fixes the sensor unit on a transformer.
