<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light emitting element and a semiconductor light emitting device which improve efficiency of extracting light emitted from an active layer. <P>SOLUTION: The semiconductor light emitting element has a substrate which has first and second major surfaces and has light translucency to light of first wavelength band, a semiconductor lamination structure which is provided on the first major surface of the substrate and includes an active layer 3 emitting light of the first wavelength band and in which a first rough surface is formed in at least part of a surface, a dielectric film provided on the first rough surface, a bonding pad 7A provided on the dielectric film, a fine line electrode 7B which is provided on the semiconductor layer structure and is electrically connected to the semiconductor lamination structure and the bonding pad, and a second electrode provided on the second major surface of the substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
