PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a paper sheet from running violently and being folded in, when starting up air blow in seasoning, and to prevent the paper sheet from being folded and a wrinkle from being generated in the paper sheet. SOLUTION: The problem to be solved is solved by this device for seasoning printed matter including a mounting block for mounting, by piling up, the plurality of printing paper sheets imparted with ink on at least one face of the paper sheet, a blowing means for supplying air among the respective paper sheets by blowing the air at a prescribed gas volume from both end faces of a bundle of the printing paper sheets layered on the mounting block, and having an air blow port over the whole area along a piled-up direction of the bundle, and a control means for increasing gradually a gas volume of the blowing means up to the prescribed gas volume, when starting the air blow by the blowing means.
