PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-cell gap type transflective liquid crystal display and a driving method thereof. SOLUTION: The method is for diving the single-cell gap type transflective liquid crystal display provided with a transflective liquid crystal panel including an upper substrate and a lower substrate where a plurality of pixels are arrayed in a matrix state and each of pixels has a reflective region and a transmissive region. A multiplexer is added to each pixel on the lower substrate and connected to a capacitor in the reflective region and another capacitor in the transmissive region. Different voltage data signals are inputted respectively to the capacitor in the reflective region and the capacitor in the transmissive region on the basis of a modulation scan signal and the different voltage data signals so that a voltage-transmittance (V<SB>T</SB>) curve of the transmissive region is made coincident with a voltage-reflectance (V<SB>R</SB>) curve of the reflective region.
