PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate restrictions on installation of a heater or display panel. SOLUTION: A heater 14 includes a base board 42 which is arranged on a back face side of a display panel 12 and a film-like heating part 44 and a temperature-sensitive part 46 which is formed on the counter-panel face 42A of the base board 42. The heating part 44 heats the display panel 12 by energization. The temperature-sensitive part 46 is used to detect a temperature which accords with a change in resistance. A control circuit 16 controls the supply/interruption of currents to the heating part 44 in accordance with the result of the detection made by the temperature-sensitive part 46. The heating part 44 and the temperature-sensitive part 46 are collectively formed, through the same process, with the same conductive material having light transmittivity.
