PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display various videos without effects given on the image forming operation while in a small size and of a low cost in an image forming apparatus equipped with both of an image forming part which forms images on a recording material and a display part which displays videos, and in a display method in the apparatus. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus includes the image forming part 50 which receives printing data and forms the image corresponding to the printing data on the recording material, the display part 22 which receives display data and displays the video corresponding to the display data, and a control means 70 which carries out the image forming operation of outputting the printing data to the image forming part and the displaying operation of regularly outputting the display data to the display part by a predetermined frame rate.
