摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propulsion mechanism for an underwater vehicle for obtaining large thrust with a simple mechanism, excellent transmission efficiency of driving force, energy saving performance, and mass productivity. SOLUTION: The propulsion mechanism for the underwater vehicle includes a base part 2, a turning shaft 3 disposed at the base part in parallel to a vertical direction, a turning arm 4 of which the one end is fixed at the turning shaft, a driving part 5 for turning that rotates the turning arm within the horizontal face in a right and left direction with the turning shaft centered, a perpendicular resilient vibration blade 7 formed into an elongated form, and extending rearward from the other end side of the turning arm, a rotating shaft 8 disposed toward the front side from the resilient vibration blade of the turning arm in parallel to the vertical direction, a pair of elastic bodies 9a, 9b for driving stretched and provided to face both right and left sides of the resilient vibration blade, fixed to the rotating shaft at the front end, and fixed to the rear end of the resilient vibration blade at the rear end, and a propulsion driving part 10 rotating the rotating shaft to oscillate the resilient vibration blade together with the pair of elastic bodies for driving.
