A method of identifying sex-linked proteins in sperm cells is described. Also described are proteins thus identified and methods of using such proteins to separate X- or Y-chromosome bearing sperm cells or to enrich for one or other chromosome in a sperm sample for artificial insemination or in vitro fertilisation techniques, especially in livestock.
