The present invention relates to an auxiliary driving apparatus for a bicycle that enables riding by rotating pedals via foot power as with a conventional bicycle, as well as riding with the assistance of the driving force of an electric motor when greater driving force is needed. The present invention provides an optimized installation position and a highly compatible structure, a variable structure capable of overcoming differences in bicycle specifications, and a deceleration structure capable of reducing the generation of noise and initial driving shock, and in particular, implements a novel form of auxiliary driving means including an automatic engagement and release system using a spring and lock mechanism in connection with an integrally rotating-type configuration of a motor and decelerating device, such that the bicycle can be safely ridden, the bicycle can be easily ridden even in adverse conditions such as on inclined roads, a reduction in noise and initial driving shock absorption can be achieved, and excellent ride quality can be maintained. Thus, an auxiliary driving apparatus for a bicycle is provided that can increase the performance of electric bicycles, as well as increase the applicable uses thereof and improve the operability of electric bicycles. |
