PURPOSE: A hybrid solar streetlight is provided to improve the efficiency of a battery by controlling the brightness of an LED according to time and turn on the LED at night by charging the battery with utility power if the battery is not charged with electric energy from a solar cell module. CONSTITUTION: A solar cell module(110) generates DC power through sunlight and outputs the DC power. An adapter(120) converts utility power into DC power and outputs the DC power. A battery(130) is charged with the DC power from the solar cell module and the adapter. A current follower charging circuit(140) charges the battery by using the DC power from the adapter or charges the battery by varying a charging current according to the current of the DC power from the solar cell module according to an external control. A generation current sensing circuit(150) senses the charging current of the battery. A plurality of LEDs are operated with the charging current of the battery. An illumination sensor(180) senses the external illumination. A charging current sensing circuit(160) is connected to the battery and senses the charging current of the battery.
