PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slit arc-extinguishing type air break switch reducing the size of an arc-extinguishing chamber and the cost. SOLUTION: The slit arc-extinguishing type air break switch includes a fixed electrode 13, a movable electrode 18 rotatable along an arc-shaped passage between a closed-circuit position and an open-circuit position, a contact pressure spring 14 disposed outside, and mating with, the fixed electrode 13, an arc horn 15 disposed near the fixed electrode, and an arc-extinguishing chamber 16 having a case part 16A accommodating the fixed electrode 13 together with the contact pressure spring 14 and the arc horn 15, and an arc-extinguishing part 16B arranged along the arc-shaped passage of the movable electrode.
