<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stick provided with a telescopic function helping move with rapid telescopic movements for a person ascending/descending the stairs, lifting himself/herself from a chair or sitting down and for a person obliged to operate the stick with only one hand for the hemiplegia. <P>SOLUTION: The electric telescopic stick includes a multiple feed screw, an electric motor for positively/negatively rotating the screw and a switch provided in the front of a handle, thereby allowing a length of the stick to be rapidly and easily adjusted by one hand at need. When a movable leg part is longest, a clutch placed between the motor and the screw idles to provide the motor with no overload.
