<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To produce, with sufficient productivity, a pellet which can equally disperse reinforcing fiber in a molding by easily disintegrating the reinforcing fiber when melting the pellet in a method for producing a long fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin pellet. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing the long fiber-reinforced thermoplastic resin pellet 1, a plurality of reinforcing fiber bundles 3 immersed in a molten thermoplastic resin 5 bath are drawn out of the thermoplastic resin 5 bath while twisting reinforcing fiber bundles 3 together to form a strand 8 consisting of the thermoplastic resin 5 covering the reinforcing fiber and the strand 8 is cut to predetermined length to obtain the pellet 1. The strand 8 is drawn while adjusting melt viscosity of the thermoplastic resin so that a melt flow rate is 500 to 1500 g/10 min and a twisting angle θ of the reinforcing fiber bundle 3 to a pulling direction of the strand 8 satisfies a relation: 0°<θ≤50°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
