<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus which is excellent in operability in handling data of a plurality of data sources. <P>SOLUTION: For each of data sources such as an HDD, a digital camera, a TV tuner, a DVD and the like, an icon stream 81 of the HDD, an icon stream 82 of the digital camera, an icon stream 83 of the TV tuner and an icon stream 84 of the DVD are created and icons are disposed in one line, respectively.
