<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary memory accesses by preventing data of an unnecessary source image to be overwritten by image composition from being read from an image memory, without enlarging a circuit scale or deteriorating processing throughput even when image conversion is combined with image composition. <P>SOLUTION: An image processor includes: a composite layout information generating part 106 for generating composite layout information which indicates overlap information in the composite image of a plurality of source images; a source necessity information generating part 108 for generating source necessity information which indicates an area on the source image which is unnecessary due to overwriting by the image composition; a source necessity information storage memory 109; and a source read mask part 110 for controlling a read mask. The generation of the composite layout information and the source necessity information and the read mask control are performed in different frame processing periods, thereby reducing the amount of processing to be necessary for generating the source necessity information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
