SPIN-ON FILTER AND ELEMENT ASSEMBLY FOR THE FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spin-on filter capable of preventing foreign matter from entering into a surface contact part between a filter head and a case and a screw connection part from an outside; and to provide an element assembly for the spin-on filter. SOLUTION: The spin-on filter includes a gasket 70 which is disposed so as to be held between a filter head 2 and an element case 30 on the outer side than the screw connection part by means of a male screw 21a formed on a filter head 2 (body 10) and a female screw 36a formed on an element case 30 (case cover 35) and the surface contact part between a first seal surface 10a formed on the filter head 2 and a second seal surface 35a formed on the element case 30, and prevents foreign matter from entering the screw connection part and the surface contact part from the external part.
