PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing an optical device capable of efficiently manufacturing the optical device.

SOLUTION: This method of manufacturing an optical device includes processes of: joining an optical element sheet 6 including a plurality of optical elements 1 to a substrate sheet 7 with a wiring pattern 3 formed thereon; separating the plurality of optical elements 1 from one another by cutting the optical element sheet 6 after the joining process; and forming wiring boards joined to the optical elements 1 by cutting the substrate sheet 7 after the joining process.
