<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a user information registration system, capable of registering user information to an optional device connected to a network only by simple operation. <P>SOLUTION: A client PC transmits a user information registration request to a control unit. The control unit stores the user information registration request received from the client PC in a request memory, and switches an operation mode to a user information registration mode in response to an operation mode switching instructions. The control unit further transmits user information acquired in the user information registration mode to a registration destination designated by the user information registration request, and terminates the user information registration mode.
