PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing device for sealing the gap between an opening of a housing such as a cylinder head cover and an insert member to be inserted to the opening at low cost while dispensing with assembling process. SOLUTION: The sealing device 1 for sealing the gap between the opening of the housing and the insert member 3 to be inserted into the opening includes: an attachment portion 12 to be closely fitted and fixed to the opening; the main seal lip 13 extending from the inside diameter of the attachment portion 12 to be brought into close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the insert member 3; and a sub-seal lip 14 extending from the inside diameter of the attachment portion 12 to a machine outside A to be brought into close contact with the outer circumferential surface of the insert member 3. The main seal lip 13 extends toward the inside diameter, in a non-installed state, with a close contact surface 13a with the insert member 3 in the main seal lip 13 being directed to the machine outside B, and a fastening margin of the sub-seal lip 14 relative to the insert member 3 is given by the deformation of the main seal lip 13 according to the insertion of the insert member 3.
