PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection circuit of a power amplifier capable of preventing a power transistor from being destroyed and expanding an operation range of the power transistor. SOLUTION: The protection circuit includes: the power transistor; a power supply unit for feeding power supply voltage to the power transistor; a temperature detection unit for detecting ambient temperature of the power transistor; a collector loss detection unit for detecting a collector loss of the power transistor; and a control unit for controlling to stop the power supply voltage fed to the transistor from the power supply unit when the collection loss detection unit detects collector loss corresponding to a detected temperature of the temperature detection unit.
