PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic pressure tank type pump that replenishes air into a pressure tank when an inching occurs. SOLUTION: An automatic pressure tank type pump 1 includes a pump head 6, a pressure tank 10 that accumulates water pressurized by the pump head 6, a pressure sensor 4 that measures hydraulic pressures of a water supply pipe 8a that connects the pump head 6 and the pressure tank 10, an air replenishing device 11 that replenishes air to the pressure tank 10, and a control device 3. The control device 3 determines that inching has occurred, if a change in hydraulic pressures of a water supply pipe measured by the pressure sensor 4 while the pump head 6 is driven has exceeded a predetermined target pressure at number of determination times equal to or greater than a predetermined threshold value thereof within a predetermined measurement time period, the air replenishing device 11 is activated after stop of driving of the pump head 6, and air is replenished to the pressure tank 10.
