PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an external structure which is excellent in harmful gas decomposition properties, mildew-proof properties, and alga-proof properties while suppressing the deterioration of a base material and a photocatalyst aqueous coating liquid. SOLUTION: The external structure has the base material and a photocatalyst layer formed on the base material. The photocatalyst layer is obtained by drying the photocatalyst coating liquid after it is applied.
