The invention relates to a system for connecting cabin equipment components in an aircraft, said system comprising a plurality of connecting elements, each of which is configured to be connected to a cabin equipment component, thus linking said components to a higher-level system in the aircraft. In the aircraft cabin, in at least one zone of said connection system, said zone being assigned to a predetermined region of the aircraft cabin, a number and arrangement of connecting elements are selected such that when a predetermined, first number of passengers, or when rows of seats arranged with a predetermined first distance between one another, occupy the aircraft cabin, then the cabin equipment components provided for a first number and/or first arrangement in the aircraft cabin can be connected to the connecting elements of said connection system; and such that when a predetermined second number of passengers or when rows of seats arranged with a predetermined second distance between one another, occupy the aircraft cabin, then the cabin equipment components provided for a second number and/or second arrangement in the aircraft cabin can be connected to the connecting elements of said connection system, without requiring the modification of the number or arrangement of the connecting elements in the aircraft cabin. |
