<p>A liquid ink giving an image which can be decolorized by heating or contacting thereof with a solvent. The liquid ink is characterized by comprising a leuco dye, a color developer, and a solvent, the color developer being general formula (1) or (2). The ink is further characterized in that the solvent comprises a water-soluble organic solvent and water.</p>
