<p>A child protection system (10, lOa-c) for a conveyor (100, lOOa-c) extending between a first platform (102, 102a-c) and a second platform (104, 104a-c) and methods for providing same are disclosed. The child protection system (10, lOa-c) may provide one or more sensors (12, 12a-c, 14, 14a-c, 22, 24) configured to detect a passenger at the first and second platforms (102, 102a-c, 104, 104a-c). The sensors (12, 12a-c, 14, 14a-c, 22, 24) may be configured to detect characteristics such as passenger height, weight, and the like. The child protection system (10, lOa-c) may further provide a controller (16) configured to determine if a child is at the first and second platforms (102, 102a-c, 104, 104a-c) and to respond accordingly.</p> |
