PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent display element capable of preventing a pad failure, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same.

SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent display element includes: an organic electroluminescent array; and a pad 137 which supplies a driving signal to the organic electroluminescent array and in which a transparent conductive layer 136 and an opaque conductive layer 134 which exposes a portion of the transparent conductive layer 136 are laminated.
