PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitter module that is a ceramic package type optical transmitter module, facilitates the installation and alignment of a lens and an optical filter, and reduces the cost, and to provide a method of manufacturing the same. SOLUTION: In the optical transmitter module, a signal light output from a laser diode 13 is concentrated by an optical lens 16 and reflected by an optical filter 15, and then emitted into a sleeve which connects an optical fiber. The optical lens 16 and the optical filter 15 are assembled into a one-piece filter lens carrier 14, and mounted within a ceramic package 1 together with the laser diode. The laser diode 13 can be mounted through an electronic cooling machine 11 which regulates the temperature. The filter lens carrier 14 is mounted so as to be supported on a multilayer substrate 1b of the ceramic package 1, or to be supported on the electronic cooling machine 11.
