PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for a battery or the like of which the laminate film in the opening is bent outward, in which the bent portion does not return to an original state even if an adhesive tape or the like is not used, and provide a manufacturing method of the same. SOLUTION: In the container 20 for a battery or the like, a laminate film, in which a base material layer 29 including an electrolyte solution non-resistant resin layer, a barrier layer 28, and a sealant layer 27 are laminated in order, is formed in a bag shape with the base material layer at an outer side and the sealant layer at an inner side. The laminate film forms a folded part 21 with the periphery of the opening 23 folded outward, and further, on the folded part, there is formed a cut-out part 24 where the base material layer 29 and the barrier layer 28 are cut off so as to expose the sealant layer 27 to a container body 22 face, and in the cut-out part 24, the folded part 21 is fixed firm with the base material layer 29 on the container body side 22.
