PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating a leguminous plant utilizingγrays comprising a process for irradiating plant bodies withγrays at a dose rate within a specific range after passage of seeding season. SOLUTION: The method for cultivating a leguminous plant utilizingγrays comprises irradiating plant bodies withγrays at a total dose rate of 0.5-10.0 Gy within a range of 0.04-0.4 Gy/day after passage of seeding season so as to make seeds larger than those not irradiated with theγrays to increase an average weight of seed pods so that the seeds of the leguminous plant are increased in production and a certain specific substance can be increased in the plant.
