PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust cover for a ball joint which can be used for a long period even when a ball stud is tilted largely or the dust cover is deformed excessively without damage by a pressing ring of the dust cover. SOLUTION: In the dust cover for the ball joint made of a rubber-like elastic material, a spherical head formed in one end of the ball stud is held in a socket, a shaft of the other end of the ball stud is fixed to a knuckle, an opening having a larger diameter at one end is fixed to an outer peripheral surface of the socket by an annular pressing ring, and an opening having a smaller diameter at the other end is held in the shaft. When the dust cover is deformed, the dust cover for the ball joint includes a thick projection in the area in which the dust cover is brought into contact with the pressing ring.
