A bitext storage unit (52) correlates and stores IDs and bitext that have correlated sentences from a first language and a second language. A translation unit (70) translates a first sentence into the second language using the bitext. A next utterance table storage unit (54) stores a next utterance table in which first identification information, which is provided with an ID and identifies a sentence in the first language or a sentence in the second language that is included in the bitext indicated by the ID, and second identification information, which identifies a sentence that has been selected in the past from the bitext storage unit as the next utterance of the sentence indicated by the first identification information, have been correlated. An acquisition unit (75) references the next utterance table and acquires a next utterance candidate, which is a sentence indicated by the second identification information that has been correlated to the first identification information of the first sentence, from the bitext storage unit. A display unit (10) displays the first sentence, the first sentence translation result, and the next utterance candidate. A selection receiving unit (60) receives the selection for the next utterance candidate. The translation unit translates into the second language when the selected next utterance candidate is in the first language, and translates into the first language when the selected next utterance candidate is in the second language.
