The present invention generally relates to devices and methods for evaluating for a User Equipment the suitability of a cell in a network in: (a) Calculating a combination of an interference level value and an power value for signals emitted from the cell and received by the User Equipment; (b) Obtaining a combined threshold from a combination of a first threshold associated with an admissible interference level for the cell and of a second threshold associated with an admissible reception power for the cell; (c) Comparing said combination with a combined threshold; (d) Declaring said cell suitable if the combination is greater than the combined threshold.
