Method for treating a pre-bleached chemical pulp is disclosed, which comprises a step of ozone treatment of the said pulp, carried out at a temperature above 60 DEG C, advantageously above 65 DEG C and even more advantageously above or equal to 70 DEG C. Preferably, the ozone treatment is carried out at a temperature not exceeding 100 DEG C. The implementation of an ozone treatment, carried out at high temperature at the end of the bleaching sequence, increases the brightness of the pulp, without reducing its quality.
