The invention relates to an installation and process for preparing hydrogen and oxygen and/or a fuel gas by forced pulse electrolysis. The claimed installation comprises a group of gas-generating resonant cells, made as capacitors with water as dielectric, the cells being connected with a high voltage pulse transformer connected, in its turn, with a unit shaping and amplifying the pulse train to be applied to the resonant cells in order to generate gas, the generated gas being collected in a collecting tube, and the flow rate of the gas being monitored by means of a monitoring unit comprising a gas volumemeter, the thus described entire assembly being controlled by a central unit provided with a microprocessor, wherein pre-established pulse trains are generated, said pulse trains being imposed by means of a smart card connected with a central unit, and, depending on the situation, they are corrected on the basis of a feedback signal coming from the monitoring unit, the electric energy necessary to functioning being ensured by a supply source which is also connected with an emergency system which controls the cutting off of the energy supply in certain cases. The central unit also comprises a driver for an LCD display on which there may be visualized, in real time, the functioning parameters. The claimed process consists in treating water by forced pulse electrolysis inside a resonant cell, consisting of a capacitor with water as dielectric, connected to an L-C type electric circuit, on the capacitor armatures a high voltage pulse train being applied concomitantly with the application of a breakdown voltage of up to 1 kV on one of the armatures which has as an effect the breaking of a covalent bond within the water molecule and the release of hydrogen, oxygen and free radicals, and also other chemical elements, depending on the type of treated water.
|
