<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly deploy an airbag without being influenced by the folded shape of the airbag, or without allowing a bulk housed condition of the airbag, or without setting a top end of a pillar garnish downward. <P>SOLUTION: When an airbag 20 is deployed, a bottom part 60D of an outer wall 60A of a jump stand 60 is deformed into a deforming space 61 by a deploying force of the airbag 20, so that a guide member mounting part 60C of the jump stand 60 contacts a compartment inside face of an engagement wall 36G of a center pillar garnish 36, so as to avoid a top end 36A of the center pillar garnish 36 from moving in a compartment inner direction. Also, a top part 62D of an airbag guide 62 is deformed (deployed) in the compartment inner direction, so as to cover the top end 36A of the center pillar garnish 36. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
