<p>A substrate is laminated with a thermoplastic film in a process in which the materials to be laminated, e.g. of polyurethane foam, are moved on a conveyor belt under pressure over a heated surface, after the side to be attached to the substrate has been treated to promote adhesion. Specifically, the plastic film is pretreated on both sides and is used after melting as a bonding layer to bond the substrate to a layer of material which either does not melt or has a a higher melting point.</p> |
